Sudan crisis relief

In April 2023, rival military factions of the Sudanese government broke out in armed conflict, and fighting has continued to intensify and escalate through the country ever since, resulting in over one million internally displaced individuals, and more than 250,000 refugees.

Novo has had ministry in Sudan since 2014, with 26 staff and many volunteers serving the 3,680 Bible study groups made up of 44,000 individuals. There has always been high persecution for those who follow Jesus, but this conflict has incread tensions and risk everywhere.

Our teams have served more than 700 families affected by the conflict both within Sudan and refugees in Egypt. They provide immediate support for 100 new families a month with food, supplies, and basic necessities for families processing the war and trauma of leaving home, as well as introducing them to Jesus.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

In order to continue serving the 44,000 individuals involved in Novo’s Bible studies as well as introduce the love of Jesus to hundreds more displaced families through compassionate care, we need to raise an additional $125,000. The team has gained so much momentum in seeing a gospel movement started in this challenging region, and we believe relief efforts will only multiply what God is already doing.
