Ministry WITH NEO LEADERS

Novo has been deeply invested in ministry in the work of NEO and the Middle East since 2005. NEO Leaders (Novo’s global partner in the region) was founded in 2005 with two national leaders and a heart to serve their home, Lebanon. It has now grown to include teams in 31 countries, with 215 local leaders and 7,500 volunteer disciple-makers. They work with refugees, people with disabilities, youth, abused women, Bedouins, and more diverse people groups bringing aid, trauma care, cultural transformation, and most of all: the good news. NEO Leader’s team and volunteers across the region are ministering to nearly 890,000 people in groups throughout the region.

In the 31 countries teams serve in throughout the Middle East and Europe, seven are experiencing a major war, and others are on the verge of one. With crisis and war comes internal disruption. Often when crisis and persecution exist, ministry grows. Staff on the ground work to address physical needs, providing food and aid. And it’s not just physical needs being met, but spiritual needs too when deeper questions surface in moments of crisis. As staff care for those affected, they offer profound hope to those who are searching, seeking, and hurting because the foundations of their security has crumbled. This kind of hope is not just comforting but transformational—the gospel at work.

Strategic Goals & Growth

Access Ministries: Teams across the region are experiencing different types of chaos and war. In each situation, there is a deep commitment to the human redemptive priority in the mission of God. So while believing the cultural mandate to meet desperate physical needs is an imperative part of the gospel, NEO believes that it can never be separated from evangelism. Therefore all that is done to alleviate human suffering and meet immediate physical needs is done in the name of Jesus, with the intention of each person experiencing the transforming love he gives. These initiatives begin with building trust and relationships that eventually allow staff to spiritual needs and start discipleship.

Training, Coaching, Mentoring: Every team member and volunteer works toward a common goal of discipleship. Regardless if they teach at a Bedouin school, deliver relief packs to refugee families, or coach women about infant care, they are always looking to build relationships, begin discipleship, start Discovery Bible Study groups, and identify emerging leaders in those groups. All the training provided for staff, volunteers, and partners aims to develop people for ministry and discipleship.

Church Partners: Partnerships are growing with local churches (where present) and like-minded organizations as part of the ministry because they lead to Kingdom thinking. Oftentimes, partners will watch NEO Leaders teams and ministry, and as they begin to see results and individual lives transform, they reach out and want to see their church/organization learn how to minister in greater ways. For example, a few years ago 160 partner churches in Egypt requested training of their members on topics covering Discovery Bible Study and coaching and multiplication. Incredibly, 200 new trainers were developed to coach 10,000 leaders from these churches, ultimately being the agents of advancing gospel movements in their region.

Financial Goal for 2025 - $2,662,500
