Launching kingdom outposts

MINISTRY LOCATION: UNITED STATES & SPAIN

Kingdom Outposts are local communities of our staff and other Jesus-followers working together on missional assignments to grow gospel movements. These groups all share three core things in common: communion with God and each other, community that moves each other towards love and good deeds, and mission that expresses the Good News of the Kingdom.

These Kingdom Outposts are often started by simple projects that meet the basic needs of those in their communities. As deep relationships are formed and people are seen, the momentum for movement grows.

Here are some of the needs our staff are addressing locally as they seek to launch new Kingdom Outposts:

  • In Northern California, there is a need for a pop up playground for parent meet-up play dates. There are a lot of kids in their community, and a pop-up playground would allow meetups at a variety of locations while facilitating engagement and relationships within the community. The goal would be to create a safe play space for kids where families can connect with other families.

  • In Spain, our team needs backpacking/adventure gear to facilitate adventure/spiritual retreats with those in their community who are not-yet followers of Jesus. This experience both serves as a relational connection, AND an experience which naturally leads into conversations of faith and discipleship.

  • In Georgia, Novo staff are developing a plan to provide meals for the homeless and food insecure in their community, as a means of building relationships and leading to spiritual conversations. By practicing intentional generosity over a shared meal, hearts are softened, trust is built, and the foundation for spiritual relationship and conversation is solidified.

  • And in Washington state, our staff are working to bless a local apartment complex with a safe and fun space for kids and families. In doing so, they’ll continue to develop trust and connections with parents, praying for the families and fostering opportunities for spiritual connection and relationships.

These opportunities for redemptive cultural engagement build relationships and represent one of the “first dominos to fall” on the path to new disciples.

Will you join the effort? Your gift will help create spaces of connection and engagement that grow and launch more Kingdom Outposts which will in turn reach even more people with the hope of Jesus.

Would you prayerfully consider a one-time gift to equip these teams so that they can pursue the vision of Kingdom Outposts?
