Novo Core Values & DNA

As we continue to integrate a movement strategy throughout Novo, we’ve come to realize that it is core values and DNA which hold us together, rather than organizational structures. As such, we want to be explicit and intentional about the DNA and culture we want to multiply and replicate:

  1. Gospel of the Kingdom
We will celebrate the good news of our salvation and live in light of the present availability of the Kingdom that Jesus inaugurated, longing for the day when it arrives in fullness.

  2. Word, Deed, and Power
We will proclaim a good news message that is grounded in biblical truth, demonstrated by faithful action, and confirmed by miraculous answers to prayer.

  3. Reliance on the Holy Spirit
We will move and minister in the power of the Holy Spirit as God supplies fresh anointing to see the Kingdom of God made manifest on earth.

  4. Abundance Mentality
We will freely share our resources with a mentality of abundance and joy over scarcity and fear, trusting the Lord to provide all that is needed to carry out His purposes.

  5. Multiplication for Gospel Movements
We will apply a multiplying mindset to the decisions we make and the resources we create so that gospel movements emerge and bear fruit.

  6. Creative Innovation
We will encourage a culture of humble curiosity, experimenting with new ideas, structures and initiatives that do whatever it takes to reach the nations with the gospel.

  7. Faithfulness and Fruitfulness
We will be faithful to making disciples wherever God calls us, keeping focused towards fruitfulness that gives glory to God.

  8. Listening To God in Obedience
We will listen to the voice of God and proceed in humble obedience as the Holy Spirit leads.

  9. Mission for Everyone
We will inspire and equip ordinary followers of Jesus for Kingdom-advancing mission in their everyday spaces.

  10. Healthy and Whole Workers
We will pursue ongoing rhythms of cave, table, and road so that our lives, relationships and mission grow healthy fruit in keeping with God’s Kingdom culture.

  11. Humble Learners as Leaders
We will “come in low” as leaders and life-long learners, taking a posture of humility and a culture of honor in the contexts in which we serve.

  12. Welcoming the Voices of Team
We will invite and attend to the full range of voices and abilities that God gives to His people, so that our workers are equipped to step into their God-given identities and our teams are united to serve a common purpose.

  13. Working from Rest and Resting from Work (Apirational)
We will create space for God’s work in our lives by allowing margin in our schedules for rest and renewal.

  14. Kingdom Partnerships (Apirational)
We will intentionally pursue and invest in collaborative Kingdom partnerships that are in step with our vision and calling to advance Gospel Movements beyond our reach.
