🎙️ "Rooted to Multiply"

How Abiding in Jesus Leads to Lasting Fruit

What does it really mean to live a life that multiplies?

For many of us, the idea of “multiplication” can feel intimidating—something reserved for missionaries, pastors, or people with extraordinary gifting. But in this episode of Called Beyond, Cynthia Anderson offers a different perspective: multiplication is all about ordinary people who remain deeply connected to Jesus.

The Source of Lasting Fruit

In John 15, Jesus makes a bold statement:

“Apart from me, you can do nothing.”

Cynthia describes this connection to Jesus like staying plugged into a power source. When we remain in Him, fruit isn’t something we have to force. It becomes the natural overflow of a life rooted in His love.

Too often, we focus on methods, strategies, or outcomes. But Jesus points us somewhere deeper: abiding is the starting point, and the sustaining power, of everything.

🌍 When One “Yes” Changes Everything

In 2019, Cynthia sensed God prompting her to take a disciple-making training she had been leading in person and move it online.

She had no experience. No clear roadmap. No guarantee it would work.

But she said yes.

What followed was something only God could orchestrate. That training grew from a small cohort into a global movement—reaching over 5,000 people across 122 nations. Through those participants, hundreds of thousands have come to faith, and movements of the gospel are forming.

The takeaway?
Multiplication often begins with a simple step of obedience.

You Already Have a Mission Field

For many believers in the West, disciple-making can feel like something “extra”—an optional calling for a few.

But Cynthia challenges that mindset.

You don’t need to cross the world to be part of God’s mission. You already have access—to coworkers, neighbors, friends, and communities that others may never reach.

The question isn’t if you have influence.
It’s whether you’re willing to use it.
